Technical Standards & Safety Authority
Under the Technical Standards and Safety Act, 2000, any person who installs, repairs, services, removes or maintains an appliance or a type of equipment used in the handling of, or use of, a hydrocarbon must be registered as a contractor with TSSA. TSSA keeps a registry of these registered contractors to communicate relevant safety information, track incidents or address public inquiries.
